A story today about a 16 year old excersing bad judgement in a yearbook picture. Her mother acts like a wolverine in all this. What say you? I say " use your head" next time before worrying about your panty lines !

I think the school should make the effort to reprint and destroy the yearbooks at the expense of the girl's family. When you wear a skirt with no undies, there's accepted inherent risk that you may end up giving someone a beaver shot at some point.

I think it's a life lesson.

Clearly the "exposure" is modest and ambiguous at best.

If the family wants to pay, fine; otherwise, this gaffe will fade just like most other ones do.

Yeah, getting the books back will solve the issue, it's not like the picture won't get out on the Internets or anything...

Rick Emerson was talking about this story on his show today.

I find it weird that a girl wakes up one morning and forgets to put on panties before she leaves for school. Isn't that one of the first things you do??? What a stupid girl! If she is that dumb than she deserves to get her coochie exposed on the yearbook.

I work for a school district. We see this kind of 'parent attitude' all the time.

Incensed, unreasonable, overwrought, hysterical, its not my child's fault, its not my fault, its the district's fault for hiring or allowing the picture to be taken by a staff or student without proper editing by the yearbook faculty member, irrepairable harm, stigmatized and its just not fair ! Our tax dollars pay your salaries, FIX THIS NOW.

Oh how I have heard this story before. I hear it at least once a week over something similar to this that affects my job directly. All they need now is a good lawyer, you wait for the follow up to this saga !

Everyone oughtta go to a school board meeting sometime.

And it says in the article or in the audio that she INTENTIONALLY left her underwear in the drawer that morning because she knew there would be Yearbook pics and didnt want ' Panty lines' showing in them. So she didnt wear panties, on purpose. That is the real 'stupid' part of the this story.

That censored-out photo in the story proves to me that this was certainly intentional on the part of the girl. All of the other girls have their legs crossed, except for her. Gee, now why might she have done that?

Recall those yearbooks you can, remove the page with the photo, insert a color flyer that recreates the removed page minus the controversial shot. That's a good faith effort with minimal cost, and should shut mom up. Reprinting the entire yearbook is cost prohibitive.

There is a school district in this area named Beaver Local. Maybe she should transfer.
