Steve Doll one half The Southern Rockers which many consider to be the most popular tag team in Portland Wrestling history has passed away at 44 last night. He had a major health scare a couple of years ago and I believe he was taken off life support last night by family members.

Its been a bad week for wrestling as Doll is the third major name to die this week alone.

Andrew "Test" Martin died last Sunday. At 34 autopsy forthcoming will most likely link to steriods, enlarged heart, and or prescription pain killers (my speculation).

and Lucha Libre star Abismo Negro was found sometime yesterday face down in a creek in Mexico. Most likely a drug overdose.

Sad

Its very sad and there is indeed a problem. But largely pro wrestling as an industry is left alone as nobody gives a crap. If it were the NFL or MLB you bet Congress wouldn't be all over it like steriods and baseball?

There is no off season to heal and or spend much needed quality time with family and friends. The road is gruelling waking up in a different city everyday. Only the tour never ends if you wanna keep the spot you've got.
