It's an excellent read into some of the dynamics surrounding subscription pr0n services.

(and the improper spelling is deliberate so as to not get PDXRadio flagged, bagged and tagged)

Red states might subscribe to more Pr0n, but the article also says that there is not any significant difference between Republicans and Democrats. I have to assume you are trying to infer that Republicans buy more prOn by the title.

Excerpted from the article, page 11 or 219, depending on how your Acrobat Reader open it;

Furthermore, I found no significant relationship between subscriptions to this adult entertainment service and presidential voting in 2004, based on poll data by congressional district.

However, using individual-level data from a Hitwise sample of ten million anonymized
U.S. Internet users, Tancer (2008), finds that adult escort sites are more popular in “blue” states that voted for Gore in 2004, while visitors from the “red” states that voted for Bush in 2004 are more likely to visit wife-swapping sites, adult webcams, and sites about voyeurism.

On the whole, these adult entertainment subscription patterns show a remarkable
consistency all but eleven states have between two and three subscribers to this service per thousand broadband households, and all but four have between 1.5 and 3.5. With interest in online adult entertainment relatively constant across regions, there’s little sign of a major divide

I find it interesting that escort services are more popular in "blue" states and wife swapping sites are more popular in "red" states.

It would be interesting to know if people in "red" states actually engage is wife swapping or just visit the wife swapping sites more?

It's an interesting article!

Hey, here's an idea. Let's get a $50,000,000 grant to study prOn! DC seems to be pretty generous right now. Let's get our share!

Re: flagged = netnanny and other censorware sites.

Actually, I was not implying that Republicans consume more porn. ABC sure did though!!! Which is why I laughed at it.

There's enough porn for free in the web that no one should ever pay a dime for it. So, it doesn't surprise me that liberals are smart enough to use the free porn yet conservatives end up subscribing.

Obviously another liberal who didn't read the article. Or as liberals are always doing, ignored the facts.

Ask any hotel/motel owner. When the Mormons come to town, the sale of porn in their rooms go through the roof.
