I remember the first time I had to record, edit and add sound effects to Profanity Man on the Morning Zoo. It was actually loads of fun. However Dan and I hadn't known each other very long and I was still doing the Christian music program Rock of Ages on Sunday's with my wife.

When Dan realized that I was the one producing the bit he came into the production room all apologetic about me having to produce such a profanity laced bit. I assured him I that I was not offended and that he didn't have to worry about giving me anymore of these types of bits to produce.

Between the reinvigorated Nelson, Terry, Stacy & Dan-O show (The B-Morning Zoo?) and the always great Daria, Mitch & Ted in the afternoon, it seems the Buzz is creatively on fire. And both shows sound totally different from one another, giving a huge range to the station.

That's it. Nothing to complain about. Just giving some props to a station that seems to be putting the extra effort in and showing some nice results. Go local talent!

Oh there is plenty to complain about.

A few things I noticed about Terry:

He, on a disgustingly regular basis, has to end a bit on HIS laugh. He never lets Nelson roll, Nelson says something funny, Terry cuts him off with a laugh and a promo.

He's obsessed with hitting the post.

If it isn't happening in Hollywood, it isn't important to Terry.

His ONE claim to fame is being "close" with Pink and Carey Hart. And he beats it to death.

He relies on American Idol for content regardless of the fact that NONE of them watch it.

He's not funny and yet he insists on continuing to fail at it.

The show would be infinitely better without him. Someone get a hold of Bill Jackson.

Ok, I have to chime in again because I freakin LOVE Nelson and Terry, and I just started listening again about 2 weeks ago.

First off, THANK YOU Dan-o for making the show funny and entertaining. The show is sounding so much better, the bits are hilarious and Nelson is actually funny again. I also like the fact that the humor is more edgy and funny! Plus you guys are more topical which is nice.
I used to get so tired of hearing these topics about relationships and single woman trying to find men. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Thank god- the show is reinvigorated and actually funny. The only thing I agree with Twally is that the bits sometimes sound cut off with a promo which does get annoying. Don't cut off Nelson humor with a promo, let the bit continue on.

What I like about the Nelson and Terry show is that every member has their own roll. Terry is the moderator/host, Nelson is the funny, Dan is the production genius of the show and Stacey does the news/entertainment reports.

The show is sounding awesome and thank you Dan Clark for getting the show back on track!

Is that the Dan that they added to the show the SAME Dan that Nelson said on air he hated not too long ago? I seem to remember Nelson going on and on about how he disliked a Dan from Z100 and was happy he never had to work with him again. Same Dan or a different Dan? Or is that the Dan that runs the station? ( isnt there a Dan that programs 105?) I am confused. I do remember Nelson ripping a Dan back in the day on his morning show more than once, must be awkward if it is.

71...my observation was that the morning show is relevant for the first time in a long time and the afternoon show is already real solid. As you know, ratings rarely have anything to do with quality (at least on any consistent basis). Also, those ratings you're referring to were from before the new line-up fell into place.

Basically, I was just giving the Buzz some props for pulling it together creatively. Hopefully the ratings will follow.

Funny to see how some of the same posters who have been bashing Nelson & Terry on this site for a long time are now raving about them, just a very short time later. The show doesn't sound all that different. Did one or more of your friends get the new gigs with Nelson and Terry or something?

Wow, if a show is sydicated, it sucks because it's "not local". If a show is local, and the bits are done well by veteran Portland talent, they are "tired". sheesh... you can't win! Personally, I think it's great! Very funny stuff, and well put together.
