I don't know how anyone can expect a Sports Talk station to succeed in Astoria when those in major markets barely pull a 2 rating. It must be 100% satellite programming with a skeleton staff.

Yes, it's 99.7 KJOX. I heard they have a local afternoon show and will cover local high school teams.

NNB tried sports for a couple of years on their 1230 AM freq in Astoria before taking that to progressive talk.
