Bush Commutes Sentences for Two Former Border Patrol Agents

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/01/19/bush-commutes-sentences-border-patrol -agents/

Of all the sentences Bush Commuted, these two agents deserved it the most.

Although I believe they should have been pardoned rather than have commuted sentences.

They should also be re-instated and have all back pay given to them.

An excellent way to leave office!

Bush must have not wanted this black mark on his legacy. If he left them in jail. These men deserve much better, but at least they are getting out of jail.

On the upside, Bush apparently doesn't plan to pardon anyone else, including anyone who has ever worked in the Bush admin. But there is 15 hours to go.

I look back now and see 2 not just one positive things that Bush has done. I mean events or moments in his presidency that impress me about Bush and this is JUST the second. The first being the speech he gave just after 9/11 at Ground Zero.

This whole story though is one that IMHO was greatly underreported by the media.

Kudo's though do go out to CNN's Lou Dobbs for consistently keeping his viewers up to date on this story and putting the pressure on the Bush Administration to do something about Ramos and Campion's situation.

Kudo's also go to Grassfire.org for staying on top of this and pressing the issue with the Justice Department and other officials in D.C.
