'A U.S. government lawyer has conceded that tens of thousands of long-missing emails belonging to former IRS official Lois Lerner – messages the Obama administration has claimed were lost in a 2011 computer crash – were safely backed up along with the computer records of every other federal employee.'

Name the lawyer, or shut up.

I teach my 10th grade students that they can only cite named sources. Fox news (the original source of this "story") can't even reach that standard.

    Herb, get a life.

Oh, wait - posting unsubstantiated crap on this board *is* your life. I forgot.

Yesterday's news, Herb. Is this all you can dig up? How about your ludicrous claims in the other thread about Latinos? They still are going to vote Democrat. So are the large majority of women. The GOP lead in the Senate polls is shrinking. Another month and it will be a dead heat. What are you going to say then?

None of this email crap has anything to do with anything. The Republitards are losing ground with the American voter. The Senate majority hopes are slipping daily from their grasp. They have no chance in '16 against Hillary.

What exactly is your point? That the current President is in his 6th year up against a Republitard House of Reprehensibles that have done nothing but say no?

Or are you just craving some attention?

"They still are going to vote Democrat."

This is a true statement. The democrats are the party of "give it away free".

What they don't realize (or probably they do but just don't give a rat's ass) is that every dollar they GIVE away, somebody else WORKED for.

Democrats believe in providing assistance to people, so they can do things like eat.

Republicans believe in giving money to Corporations so that can fuck people over, and to the military so they can kill people.

It's hard for me to comprehend how creating a population of people who are dependent on the government for their survival is a good thing.

You just hit on the main difference between Democrats & Republicans.

Democrats believe that Americans are basically good and industrious and want to work.
(and there are obvious exceptions of course).

Republicans believe that Americans are lazy and worthless unless there is some punishment if they aren't.

Well said, Amus. But I think there's a little more to it.

Republicans believe successful people will find success in America, because it's America.

Repoublicans believe iof you can't find success, it's because you don't deserve success. You are not made of the "stuff" that makes one a True American. If everyone simply had the right motivation, everyone could be successful. Without that motivation, you won't get (and don't deserve) success. Poverty is a personal failing, not a result of circumstance or economics.

For Republicans, the "American Dream" is achievable by anyone and everyone - as long as you do things the proper American way.
