Here is a provocative thought starter for your company. The result may indeed perhaps change some opinions inside your company. Try it!

A father and his son are driving along a highway and unfortunately are
involved in a head-on collision. The father is killed. The son is
badly injured and needs emergency surgery. The boy is rushed to the
hospital, but the surgeon says, "I cannot operate on my own son".
Again the father is dead. How is that possible?

I won't give the answer here, but I'm sure many in your organization will come up with the correct answer. What will be interesting is how many will not. This is not meant to criticize the answers you get, but how we have been conditioned. A good learning experience quiz, if you choose to share.

If anyone needs the correct answer, just respond here.

I don't get it - why wouldn't she want to operate on her own son?

Was I not supposed to give the answer?

Andrew, though you got the answer correct, you missed the point of the post. Most don't think of a woman as surgeon, and this is where the disconnect is. I was surprised in my own office how many could not figure this out.

I work in mixed gender environments with women holding high positions / professional, etc...

Question wouldn't even show up on the radar. I have worked in many places where it would. Interesting test Paul.

Can a man in the back-ass-ward state of Alabama marry his widow's sister?

...not possible because he has to be dead to have a widow...
