Congrats to Craig. At 11:25 a.m. Sunday, March 17, he sits just one post shy of 7,000. Wow!

Does the board software stop counting at 7,000? I think Craig has more than 7,000 posts but the counter hasn't changed! :D

But how many of you guys have noticed lately the number of posts missing_kskd has racked up over the last few years? Or even Trix?

Oh Boy, what an honor! It shows I'm one of the biggest in geekdom! On the other end, 7 is The Holy Number!

I'm afraid "edust1958" is right, I have far more posts than 7,000. That's just since the new pdxradio website began in 2009. I've been posting since 2001. [Estimate: 28,000]. Semoochie at one time had far more posts than I and he use to post a lot more. Years ago I noticed he cut down, probably when someone started a thread on how many posts he had!

There was a point where the "elite" stopped posting very much and it got less interesting. Also, there isn't that much going on anymore, from either a programming or technical standpoint. Another possible reason is that I don't like to repeat myself too often. I checked out the site before Dan started the forum, around 1996. Randy in Eugene posted before I did and he used to be pretty consistent. Another of the old timers is Mrs. Merkin. She even had her own site for awhile. I noticed that on Radio-Info.com, I'm up in the thousands and I still feel like an outsider, there!

semoochie, I believe some of the "elite" you speak of actually died. Also, with the absence of actual live on air talent these days, gossip, bs and other talk about air talent dwindled to zip. A voice track is never going contain a beheading comment, hence the decline of this radio side. :(

Skeptical, Although some "elite" may have died, I wouldn't go to say that many of them have. I think they don't stop by often because they got tired of all the BS on here, even though it has mainly moved to the other side. They still check occasionally and get caught up on this side but don't post anything unless necessary. They aren't interested in seeing how many posts they can rack up and they aren't interested in posting just to say something as many on here do.
