Throws in the towel. At least he knows when it's time to quit. His anti-gun campaign did him a lot of harm.

Do you suppose he had a choice? Another liberal voice down the drain in failure.

Who? You act like this guy actually had some influence in this country.

    Jay Leno? Very possible.

As for Morgan, he did have some influence, as he was able to bring in some major guests. But, agreed, ratings rule the roost, and they just were not there.

Welcome back, Paul. I owe you an apology, but not in one of Deane's trolling threads.

No apology necessary, Andy. I needed a break. But you can't keep me away from "cable news event" coverage!

Good to see you back, Paul. I thought of you during the Super Bowl :)

Thanks, Brian. My timeout has taught me some good lessons.

Seattle is not totally getting the credit they deserve, but it is what it is. A repeat would do the trick. And right now, the potential is high.

Perhaps a future post will be Pac-12 football. Lots of intangibles going on there. WSU is growing every year, and we will see what Peterson can do on Montlake. OR is still hungry, as is OSU. Recruiting is less than great for all of the above, but apparently OR has the edge. But current players will make '14 an interesting season.

Yeah, including our awful quarterback. I look forward to it!

The few times I've watched him, he was boring. His anti-gun mantra was tiresome (I am somewhat neutral to pro-gun but with aggressive lawful controls). Not surprising he lost viewership given he isn't "one of us". Don't care about his opinions.

There could be some pending news bombshell about his involvement with the unlawful media snooping cases in the UK.

My wife is British. And way more liberal than I am. And tonite when I told her Piers got 86'd, her reply was "he's too boring".

I don't think his anti-gun stance had anything to do with his situation. Most people in the US agree with him on basic gun laws.

It's the fact that he's a Brit with an accent and while that may sell Jaguars, it doesn't sell cable TV news in the US.
