It makes me wonder who will carry Hillsboro's new baseball team next year. I hope it is KUIK.

KUIK would be the logical choice, "Westside Talk Radio" covering the westside team. I think it will all depend on KUIK's financial health and their current agreement with the San Francisco Giants.

I've heard some talk that there might be a change from the Bears to the Rockets. My father is friends with Darell Lumaco and plays golf with him at Pumpkin Ridge all the time. They want to change the name but it's up to the league.

Hillsboro/Portland Beavers? That, at least, would keep the history of the Beavers name alive. Wonder if they could get permission to use the terrific-looking Lucky Beaver logo the Bevos used during their last season at The Stadium? It would be nice if they did!

I understand there is a group in Milwaukee that wants to build a stadium and I hope they use it for triple aaa and use the name Beavers. with the Mariners as the parent club!

Wayne - I'd be shocked if the M's moved their AAA affiliate from Tacoma. 35 miles down the road is pretty convenient for the parent club, plus they draw well and I believe that Cheney Stadium has been recently renovated.

    It'd be nice though :)

    Wayne....

It's Milwaukie, not Milwaukee. (The one with two e's already has a team.)

The stadium planned for Milwaukie would house a Northwest League team, the same league the team in Hillsboro.

Neither the stadium in Hillsboro, or the one proposed for Milwaukie, would have sufficient seating for a Triple A team.
