KINK Releases "Homegrown Music Volume 7" CD

    ---------------------------------------------KINK ‘Homegrown’ CD Released---------------------------------------------

    ALPHA BROADCASTING Triple A/KINK/PORTLAND, OR has just released HOMEGROWN MUSIC VOLUME 7, a yearly collection of new music from the PACIFIC NORTHWEST.

    The disc is being sold at NEW SEASONS locations and proceeds benefit the OREGON FOOD BANK.

    The 19 artist featured this year include DRESSES, TYPHOON, AGES AND AGES and WILD ONES.

    People still buy CDs? C'mon, KINK. It's 2014. How about a digital download? And no, you don't need to use iTunes...

    Physical media rules. CD over download any day. I always know where full quality archive of the album is, and if the artist and label did their job there is an actual listing of the tracks with number and name. If they aren't a bunch of jerks there also are liner notes. If I want it in digital form, I can rip it myself anytime to any quality.

    I've even taken to buying used CD's from Amazon dirt cheap so I have older albums the way I want it, rather than downloads. HA!

    Nothing pisses me off more than digital content where the track number isn't the first part of the file name. How in the hell are you supposed to play from the CD if you don't know what track number it is?
