I have to admit I think Newsweek's cover photo of Ms. B is pretty funny and maybe you do too!

Yes, it's unfair that Newsweek used an unflattering photo, but what can you expect from the librul media which loathes strong conservative women?

We had an extended discussion on another board about this, with some upset, and others not. IMHO, it's a pretty standard headshot of Bachmann; she's always got that weird semi-crosseyed look on her face. Long story short, the whole thing is much ado about nothing, and takes away from any real and substantive discussion. Roland Martin at CNN echoes my sentiment:

And another conservatard takes the bait. Did you ever think that Newsweek might have done what they did on purpose, to try and get people talking about their magazine? That fishhook can be safely removed, you know.

IMHO, it's not whether or not she looks crazy, it's "is she REALLY crazy?" The record seems to show that she is. That's more important to me that some weak-ass rag cover.

There's nothing remotely liberal about Newsweek. Their increasingly sensationalistic covers (a Tina Brown hallmark) are intended to sell magazines, period. That said, Bachmann and her acolytes would complain about any photo, no matter how flattering. It's a well-worn political tactic aimed at stoking resentment toward "the elites" among potential voters. Sarah Palin routinely does the exact same thing.

Yeah, she's nuts. No question. Agreed too. Photo was just candy for those that would consume it.
