Per her Facebook page, she's "no longer working at KINK." I'd link you to the statement, but FB suddenly went down for "maintenance".

Inessa was a long time fixture there, great on air, and a real supporter of local music. She will be missed.

Dang, she was one of the reasons I really enjoyed KINK. She was a natural wordsmith on the air and delivery that was just great to listen to.

Maybe, she'll go back to KGON!

Inessa! We first worked together at KGON. Then I went to Z100. Even though we worked for different companies, she still came in and voiced a bit for me.

I did a song about the Baghwan Shree Rajneesh's crazy spokeswoman, Ma Anand Sheela. Inessa was great as the voice of Sheela. I doubt she even got paid.

The 45rpm was released this week in 1984, earning $10,000 for Baloney Joes. Inessa was a big part of its success.

Wade through my crummy vocals to hear Inessa in the song: http://www.mp3-for.me/video/erQbCK4r6EM/Shut_up_sheela.wmv.html

Inessa is one of the great voice talents of Portland. Of Oregon. Of the English speaking world. I wish her all the best.

    This from All Access:

--------------------Inessa Anderson Among Those Let Go At Alpha Broadcasting/Portland--------------------

ALPHA BROADCASTING/PORTLAND made some staff reductions to its cluster last week (11/14), and among them was KINK night and "Homegrown Music Spotlight" host INESSA ANDERSON. She had been at the station for 12 years.

The company has not released any of the names of the nine people whose positions were eliminated.

Where did "Anderson" come from? It used to be "York"!

You know as well as I do, this is radio, where stage names rule.

Okay she has been laid off? Yet voice recordings that she made while an employee of Alpha Broadcasting are still being used by Alpha Broadcasting?

Company ownership of voice work performed by employees is standard in employment contracts. Spots she's on could live for a long time. It's perhaps more seemly to phase them out, but I don't mind hearing her. Inexplicable loss.
