COPS has been filming police activities in Omaha since June. Last night, they were on the scene of a shootout with a robber. The robber was shot dead, the COPS cameraman is in critical condition.

Well at least it was caught on tape. That way why Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson make their way to Omaha to fan the fires of racial hatred. They can watch the filmed footage from COPS.

So get the robbers family ready. Sharpton will want to stand next to them when the cameras are near by. Also lets find some pictures of the robber. Make sure that it's pictures that show a kind gentile side of him. No mug shots or pictures where the robber might look like a thug or gang member.

That is unless the robber is white and the cop was black. Sharpton and Jackson will stay far away. After all, only white police officers can be racist. Black police officer are never racist.

If the robber is white. Make sure the picture of him given to the media is him in a wife beater that makes him look like a what trash meth dealer. If he has a old mug shot. You can release that to the media. But if he was once in the Boy Scouts and you have a picture of him in uniform getting a Eagle Badge. For the sake of the community. Bury that picture and never show it to the public.

I can't wait for another black street thug to get shot by the police. And Sharpton and Jackson whip up the racial fire storm about how the police are racist and are protecting another white cop. Only to find out that the police office who shot the black suspect was a black police officer.

What would Sharpton and Jackson say and do? Well considering that they don't say or do anything when blacks kill other blacks. Nothing.

Sorry for the long rant. I'm a Democrat that's just tired of race hustlers, and white liberal guilt. You were born white. You must be guilt of something.

Officials are saying that the COPS crew member wounded in the shooting has died.

He is being referred to as a "crew member", so I don't know if he was a cameraman, or had some other responsibility.

Here is a transcript of some of the radio chatter at the time. Chilling.

"on Soundcloud, an officer can be heard describing a suspect in a "black hoodie and a white bandana" and additional patrol cars are dispatched to the location.

At one point a male voice reports: "We have one of the 'Cops' guys has been hit by gunfire; we need a squad here now." Another male voice urges, "We need multiple squads, two squads."

A short time later, a man says, "We've got a 'Cops' cameraman hit, white male, he's not conscious, he's slightly breathing."

News is now saying the COPS crew member was an audio technician and that he was hit by bullets fired by police.

My guess is that the COPS production company has to sign some sort of release in order to follow the cops around. If so, I don't know how that might filter to the employees. In any case, it's now going to be a legal mess.

Apparently the cops fired 30 rounds, the robber reportedly didn't fire any. I don't know yet what triggered the whole thing other than being some sort of a robbery. There's a news conference at 2:30 pm CDT.

Reading another story, it looks like there was an armed robbery at a Wendy's, and the robber had a "gun," which turned out to be an Airsoft pistol. All of the rounds were fired by the police, none by the suspect. Yes, releases may have been signed, but SOMEONE is going to get sued out of this.

Those Airsoft pistols look very much like a real bullet firing gun. Using one in a robbery may fake out a clerk, but it's likely to get one shot full of holes by the police as it did in this case.

A cop facing one of those has every right to believe it's the real thing in the limited amount of time he has to evaluate the situation.
