Wow. Another one lost too soon. Apparently he was not the driver, but a passenger.

My name was actually inspired by a high school classmate, not the actor. But still, awkward.

However, most importantly, is his family and close friends. He was a rising star, and probably would have offered much more to the entertainment world. RIP, Mr. Walker.

I'm impressed with his charitable work, but otherwise had no idea who he was. Sad nonetheless. Leaving behind a 15 year old daughter. Tough times ahead for the family.

May I share a story? And this is all to Paul Walker's credit. I was working at KDUK in the late 90's, and this was about the time his career was taking off. On a daily basis, i would get the question, "are you really Paul Walker?". Of course, I said, yes I am. But not always. Sometimes I said no I was just a guy with the same name. So I feel a kindship with the now departed. God Bless and RIP. My name is just coincindence, and it means nothing at this point. However, using an air name of somewhat who has left us recently is a bit weird. Perhaps I am over-thinking it, but put yourself into this position. I'm sure it will all play out, but for now, it is creepy and uncomfortable. I think me best play is to continue to use my name as it is generic enough to do so.

Well Paul, you were the first person I thought of when I saw the news online.

His "good guy" persona carried over to his roles on the big screen. The industry lost one of it's most prolific performers. I've watched so many of his movies I almost feel I knew him personally. Defiantly a sad piece of news.

Uh huh. This may become this generations James Dean. Not as far-fetched as seems. James Dean was younger, yes, but still a voice of a generation who died in an auto accident. Not sure how this will play out...but there is some mystery involved here, and who knows.

I don't think that I've been that cave-bound, but without the reference to the F&F movies (which I have purposefully avoided), I would have no clue as to who this guy is. The Facebook adulation is kind of creeping me out. Just checked his iMDB listing, and the only thing that he's done that I can say that I saw was "Varsity Blues." (eminently forgettable, as well) Maybe I'm just a fossil, but I just don't get all of the hubbub.

You are not alone Dux. I haven't seen any of the F&F movies either. I had to ask who he was when my daughter told me he'd been killed.
